lockdown diaries
As I recently wrote here, the lockdown turned out to do me a lot of good. My productivity and creativity levels are off the roof, I can’t remember the last time I felt so good in terms of my physical and mental health either.
So, I decided to write down all the things I’ve been up to recently, since this good life my end soon, eh!
learn new things
Invest in your career - I recently finished my specialisation degree in Software Product Management - yay! I’ve been doing it since January and the lockdown situation definitely helped me to focus on it more and get it done.
Gain new knowledge - With the team at work we’re also taking this UX design course as part of our Lunch & Learn series - good idea to keep the team learning and developing new skills!
Practice your language skills - learn new ones or improve the skills you already have. I’ve been loving this Russian beginners course on Apple Podcasts (along with their Accelerator course) and One Word a Day app to stay on track with my French.
get creative - start new hobbies
Macrame - I’ve used this tutorial to learn the basics and then followed this one to create the pattern (with some improv in the end). There’s plenty of inspiration on Pinterest too.
Calligraphy (well, faux-caligrapy to be honest bu it’s still fun). Once again, YouTube is full of tutorials.
Colouring for adults - like this one, perfect for stress release!
