2019 highlights & plans for 2020

The other day my friend asked me about my thoughts on 2019. I’ve never really done it as I’m always more excited for what’s to come than dwell in the past, but when I took a moment to reflect on this year come by, I’ve realised it was a pretty damn good one.

a short story about finding peace (part 1)

This post has been 2 years in the making. Why? Because it's hard, because what will people think,  because no-one cares, because what if my family reads it and it will just make them sad, because what if people will be mean and it will just make me sad…

a practical guide to moving to London

It is true that moving to London involves a vicious circle of dependancies and it’s very easy to get lost and frustrated in the process. A very good example: you need a bank account in order to rent a flat but you can’t open a bank account if you don’t have a permanent address in the UK… What the actual f**k?!

why I AM and AM NOT a feminist

So that’s a first: I’ve written a very personal post. There won’t be any travel guide here, no pictures of my cute dog and not even a recipe. Just me, myself and my opinion on something.

and so we got married

I have always been repelled by doing things how they should be done. If you’re following a recipe step by step there is no room left for creativity and excellence that comes with it.

hello fall!

It's really hard to get excited about fall, especially in Paris with its never-ending rain, grey sky, and low temperatures. There's something however, that I'm really looking forward to thinking of this time of the year...

meet Buddy

So it’s been 2 years now since we first officially announced that one day we’ll get a dog. A big one, Bullmastiff most preferably, and we’ll call him Jabba (yes, like the galaxy's most powerful gangster) – we actually decided on this when we first met 5 years ago.

july

With the big trip coming up (we're leaving for Japan today!) July was all about enjoying summer in Paris.

june

Not being really planned like this, June stood for getting away from the Parisian hussle and enjoying our time in the wilderness. We spent a wonderful weekend in the French Alps...

may

The month of May was full of sunshine, friends and long afternoons dizzied by bottles of wine. From Italy, thorugh Provence, to Paris - good springtime memories so worth saving up for later!
