home sweet home
"Home is a place you grow up wanting to leave,
and grow old wanting to go back to."
I don't even know who said it but it really amazes me how true it is, especially being now further from home than before. Is it because I'm getting extremely spoiled every time I visit as every even the shortest stop by is celebrated like a holiday? Don't know but I definitely get to appreciate every of those short moments more. You can enjoy a few of them for our last trip to Lubin, Poland (my hometown) with me in a few beautiful pictures below.
For the easiest & quickest cinnamon strawberry French toasts:
(2 toasts, serves 1)
- 1 egg
- splash of milk
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 2 pieces of bread of your choice
- butter for frying
- fresh strawberries or any favourite fruit for topping
Beat the egg with the splash of milk, sugar, salt and cinnamon. Soak the bread in the mixture making sure it's well-coated on both sides. Fry using butter on medium-high heat until golden and serve topped with fresh strawberries. 5 minutes to make, so much pleasure!
